BSc Economics, Finance and Management (LN12)

Queen Mary, University of London

This programme emphasises those courses that are most relevant to a subsequent career in business and/or finance. After basic courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, fundamentals of management and quantitative analysis in the first year, the remaining two years of the programme combine courses in microeconomics, financial economics and business studies. A wide range of choices enables you to direct your studies to the areas that interest you most. These areas could range from the study of mathematical and statistical techniques in finance through the economic analysis of strategy, industrial organisation and new technologies, to the study of the contribution of sociology and politics to the complexity of business decisions.

In the course of your studies, you will acquire a range of transferable skills: individual and group work, oral presentations, writing essays and reports, problem-solving, and proficiency in a variety of IT skills.
