BSc Economics (L100)
In the first two years of our single honours Economics programme, you will cover a core of macroeconomics, microeconomics and the quantitative techniques used in economic analysis and investigation. Final-year options enable you to apply this core knowledge to a variety of more specialised areas such as labour economics, industrial economics, health economics, financial economics, business cycles and so on. Some of your work will be computerintensive, using networked terminals in the Department's computer laboratories.
In the course of your studies, you will acquire a range of transferable skills: individual and group work, oral presentations, writing essays and reports, problem-solving, numeracy and proficiency in a variety of IT skills.
Entry requirements
For 2009 entry we require 3 ‘B’ grades in A2 exams to include A2 maths. For 2010 entry the requirements will be AAB grades in A2s to include A2 Maths.
