The 2018-19 first semester commences in the week beginning Monday 17th September 2018 (Week 0) for students joining MRes Economics and MRes Finance programmes.
The enrolment period will take place on Wednesday 19th September from 15.30 – 17.30 in the Octagon, Queens’ Building. Please remember to pre-enrol, and refer to enrolment guidelines available on the University website. Remember to bring all necessary documents for enrolment, for full details on the enrolment process please visit the University’s induction webpage.
At midday (12noon) on Friday 21st September there will be an MRes/PhD Welcome lunch, taking place in the Graduate Centre, 3rd floor foyer. Following the lunch, the Head of School, the MRes programme director, Prof. Emmanuel Guerre, and MRes module organisers will introduce themselves and discuss the structure of the course. It's also a good opportunity to meet other PhD and MRes entrants. It is important that you attend this session, which takes place from 13.00 – 14.00 in GC3.05, Graduate Centre.

Students should choose their optional modules for both Semester A & B via MySIS, further information will be given at the introductory talk on Friday 21st September. The deadline for module registration is Friday 5th October.
We will contact you in early September to arrange a meeting with the MRes programme director, Prof. Emmanuel Guerre, during the induction week to discuss your module choices.
Semester A Modules
MRes modules in the School of Economics and Finance (SEF) begin from Monday 24th September 2018 (Week 1). The teaching timetable 2018-19 will be made available to you during induction week. An electronic version of the timetable will be available to you through QMplus in the MyTimetable application once the module registration process is complete.
From the beginning of term the Library will be running a three-week programme of tours and drop-in sessions. The tours are an opportunity to find out more about the wide variety of resources available as well as the different types of study spaces that you can use.
The Mile End Library tours will run every 30 minutes. There is no need to sign up, just meet staff in the Help Zone to join in.
