Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI)

Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment
The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) has recognised the School of Economics and Finance in May 2013 as a Centre for Excellence in Financial Services, and provide our students with the opportunity to achieve the industry recognised CISI Masters in Wealth Management professional qualification.

Where a student has successfully graduated from QMUL MSc Wealth Management programme, and passed the CISI Portfolio Construction Theory exam and CISI Asset Wealth Management exam, they are eligible to apply for an exemption from CISI Financial Markets exam and be awarded the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

The eligibility to sit the CISI L6 and L7 exams is based on the student’s successful graduation from the QMUL MSc Wealth Management programme. CISI exams cannot be awarded/exemptions be granted if the candidate does not achieve the QMUL programme.

The sponsored CISI Student Membership will last until the end of March 2 years post-graduation and a QMUL student successfully graduating from the MSc Wealth Management, plus passing CISI Portfolio Construction Theory and Asset Wealth Management exam, and applying for Financial Markets exemption, is eligible (via MSc study) to be awarded the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.
