About the School
- The School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary is recognised for the excellence of both its teaching and research. With a RAE Grade 5 School with 26 research active staff, we offer four MSc programmes in Economics and Finance and we have a vibrant community of students studying for PhDs.
- We are recognised by the ESRC for full-time and part-time studentships. The MSc in Economics has been recognised under the ESRC's new 1+3 funding regime, enabling those who wish to continue on from their masters work to doctoral research to apply for funding to cover both their MSc and PhD.
- We also have an excellent record of attracting College studentships. These offer students working in economics the opportunity to develop their own research topic rather than being constrained by pre-existing programmes.
- We also offer a nine month Graduate Diploma designed to help students interested in the MSc programme, but with non-economics degrees or limited background knowledge of economics.
