Economics Society update

‘New Year, New Look’. If the Economics Society had a motto, that would be word perfect. The New Year has provided us with a timely opportunity to enhance our society with a fresh look, in particular revamping our logo, alongside a completely new set of colours. Very soon, committee members will be modelling our impressive hoodies for this academic year. Keep an eye and ear out, as we’ll be taking orders in the upcoming weeks. Last semester, the society held several popular events, both social and career-orientated; this semester won’t be any different.

Message from the Economics Society

Over the course of this semester, the Economics Society has hosted some exciting events for all students. With the success of CV Boosters, we were able to educate and inform 2nd and 3rd year students who are looking to go into the financial sector after their degree. The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants will be holding a networking event and a business game for those hoping to move into a career in accountancy. We are working with CMC Markets and Central Markets to bring one of the most exciting opportunities for would-be traders and enthusiasts alike.

Econ-soc home page

"I'm really looking forward to the forthcoming academic year; we have lots of events planned spanning from debates, careers events, guest speakers and sporting activities. What's more, we have brought in a fantastic team of students on the committee; all of whom have an immense drive to make sure we have a solid infrastructure as a society. We look to pupils to attend our programmes and recommend events which they would like to see take place so that we can grow stronger.
