It has been a very eventful year for QUMMIF, the postgraduate student investment club. Members of the Club have been exposed to the practicalities of how to construct an investment portfolio. At the moment, Sector teams are engaged in an investment challenge competition to pitch securities for the QUMMIF Growth Fund. However, the highlight of events have been the Summer Trading Programme delivered by hedge fund manager David Norman who currently manages a $1 billion at his propriety firm .Delegates have been exposed to the intricacies of intermarket analysis and its applications in making financial markets trading decisions.

In the words of the deputy president of the Club "I am definitely acquiring life long skills for success as a budding trader". The QUMMIF bull’s dinner is an event members are now looking forward to before handing over to the incoming class of 2011/12.
