For the Second Year Running: Best School for Student Support!

For the second year running the School of Economics and Finance has been awarded the prize for best student support. The School received the award at the Student Union annual Course Representative ceremony that was held at the Draper's Hall by the Draper's Company on Friday 25th March 2011 . The School was rewarded for its continuous, positive and supportive engagement with students and with the Course Rep System. At the same event Dr Guglielmo Volpe, the School's Senior Tutor, received the Academic Staff Member Award in recognition of the support provided to Course Representatives.

The School is incredibly proud of these achievements that are in great part due to our students' positive and constructive engagement. The Course Reps are an extremely important part of the School's life and they have been instrumental in the introduction of extremely successful initiatives such as the "Research Assistant Scheme" and the "Meet the Advisor Day".

The School is looking forward to working closely with the Student Reps and all students in the future with the aim of creating an even more vibrant and stimulating environment where everybody's potential can be realised.
